March 22, 2019 -DSI's new contract starts on April 1, 2019. A mailing will be sent out to update cart sizes for customers. Two new cart sizes have been added to the choices. A 20 gallon garbage cart and a 95 gallon recycling cart. If a customer would like to change to the 20 gallon garbage cart size, the 95 gallon recycling cart or any other size please make your selection on the mailing and return to the Finance Department at City Hall. This will be a small window for the mass change of carts. We will then go back to email or phone the City of Northfield Finance Department by summer 2019.

In the event that one week’s garbage does not fit into a 20, 35, 65 or 95 gallon container, a pay-as-you-throw sticker can be used on other garbage containers (less than 33 gallons) or bags containing waste not to exceed 50 pounds. Stickers can be purchased at City Hall in the Finance Department, EconoFoods or Cub Foods.
