Utility Billing

Utility Bills

Statements with fees for water usage, wastewater and sewer services, and garbage/recycling pickup are mailed to Northfield residents each month. Payments are due by the 15th of each month. The City utilizes a radio-read system that automatically transmits water usage amounts wirelessly between the meters and a remote computer.

Auto Draft Option

Customers may opt to sign up for the City's free Auto Draft Option. The City will automatically debit the customer's bank account on the 15th of each month. No checks, No hassle, No postage and No late charges.

Utility Rates

Current rates for water usage, wastewater and sewer services, and garbage/recycling pickup are available by contacting the Finance Department.

Additional Water Meters

Additional water meters can be purchased from the City. A for-hire plumber will need to install the meter correctly. After installation, the City’s Water Department must inspect the meter. Monthly utility billings will include charges for water usage reported on each individual meter in the home or business. Each meter will also incur a service charge as well.
