Grace Whittier Fund Committee

The Grace Whittier Fund Committee was created in 1988 as a result of a gift from long-time Northfield resident Grace Whittier. The purpose of the fund is to support recreational opportunities for Northfield youth. The City of Northfield has established a process to award grants from the Grace Whittier Fund to Northfield area organizations that provide recreational activities for youth and children. The grant application for the current year can be obtained here: Grace Whittier Fund Grant Application

Completed applications must be received at the Library on or before Friday, March 12, 2010, at 5:30 p.m. Application forms, grant guidelines and additional information are available by stopping by the Library, or by contacting Kathy Ness or Lynne Young at the Library, 507-645-6608 for more information.

The committee reviews grants and issues funds to various youth groups and organizations. The committee consists of five members, appointed by the Mayor and approved by the City Council. Each member serves a three-year term. There is no term limit. Members do not receive monetary compensation.
