Motor Vehicle Information
The Minnesota Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) office located in Northfield at City Hall processes drivers license applications, renewals and replacements; vehicle title registrations and renewals; special license plate requests; and DNR registrations of ATVs, boats and snowmobiles. The office does not administer driver license testing. The nearest exam stations are in Faribault and Eagan
Please Note: No driver's license or ID card applications will be processed on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 until after 10:00 am due to a new camera installation in the Motor Vehicle Office.
All drivers license and State ID applications must be started by 4:15 pm. They must be complete by 4:30 pm.
All DNR and motor vehicle transactions must be started by 4:45 pm.
There are no exceptions.
